Let us put our expertise to work for you.

We know first-hand how devastating divorce can be because our lives have been affected by it, too.

That's why we mediate each case personally and do everything we can to make divorce less expensive, less time-consuming and less stressful for you and your children.

Joe Dillon & Cheryl Dillon

Equitable Mediation Co-Founders

What our clients are saying about us:

Joe, When we first spoke, I remember saying to you how we didn't want to get caught up in all the drama that most people associate with divorce. Working with you and Cheryl allowed us to move forward rather than staying stuck in the past.

- E.O., Chicago, Illinois (Lakeview)

I couldn’t believe after only 3 years we were divorcing. But thanks to the two of you, it wasn’t nearly as painful as it could have been.

- M.R., Chicago, IL (South Loop)

Joe and Cheryl are easy to work with and really want to see both parties through the process. They are very professional and deliver on their services. I never felt judged or slighted and am glad we chose to work with them instead of lawyers. Equitable Mediation was definitely a more civilized way to go.

- E.K., Chicago, Illinois

Expert Divorce Mediation in Cook County

While it’s critical you work with an expert Chicago divorce mediator with the proper skills and training, don’t underestimate how important their knowledge of Cook County is, too.

Living in Chicago ourselves, we understand the unique characteristics of Chicago’s many neighborhoods. From South Loop to West Loop and from Streeterville to Old Town, we know that where you live can impact everything from housing values to transit options and all points in-between.

Working with someone who understands where you live can be the difference between a generic mediation agreement and one that’s tailored to you and your family’s unique needs.

We know that taking the first step is a big decision.

But if you and your spouse live in the Chicagoland area, have both decided to divorce and want to use mediation to peacefully and cost-effectively end your marriage, book an initial meeting for the two of you today.
