Divorce Using Telephone Mediation?

For clients considering using mediation for their divorce, one option they may wish to consider is telephone mediation. While traditional mediation is done face to face, there are times when telephone mediation may make more sense. For example in the case where a restraining order is in place, two individual may not be legally permitted to be in the same room and therefore mediating face to face simply isn’t an option. Or for busy professionals who can’t get out of the office or who travels frequently, sessions can be conducted from wherever you are at the time while still getting the same efficient and cost-effective benefits of mediation.

No matter what the reason, we encourage you to take a closer look at telephone mediation to see if it may work in your particular situation and if so, give us a call at (908) 864-2177 as we’d be happy to work with you to schedule an appointment to learn more.
