Telephone Mediation
In addition to our divorce mediation sessions conducted in our NJ office locations or by utilizing our virtual divorce mediation services, we also offer telephone mediation sessions, also known as “distance mediation.” We know that by offering you the choice on where and how to conduct your meditations, better results are achieved in less time, with less stress and at a lower cost.
Benefits of Telephone Mediation Include
- Convenient – virtual mediation can be conducted at a location of your choosing eliminating the need to travel to an appointment or secure child care.
- Safe – when personal safety* is a concern, telephone mediation allows both of you to realize the benefits of mediation while making your safety a top priority.
(*where there is not restraining order and with further screening for appropriateness for mediation) - Empowering – in cases where one party may feel threatened or overpowered by the other party, telephone mediation allows each of you to mediate from separate locations giving you the confidence to speak openly and honestly.
- Flexible – telephone mediation start and end times are more flexible than in-person appointments.
Who Would Benefit from Telephone Mediation?
- Busy parents – trying to find child care is hard enough, let alone to go out to a divorce mediation session. Conduct sessions from wherever it may be most convenient.
- Traveling business professionals – For those who make their living “on the road” finding time to attend divorce mediation sessions can be a challenge. By using telephone mediation, you can achieve the same result you would in a face to face meeting without having to worry about how this is going to fit into your busy schedule.
- Housebound, Ill or Immobile Individuals – sometimes it’s just not possible for you to leave the house or get to a computer for virtual mediation due to a personal condition which makes telephone mediation your best solution.
- Long-Distance Divorces – with telephone mediation there is no need for you to have to travel a great distance in order to realize the benefits of mediation when one of you has already moved to another state.
If telephone mediation sounds like the right option for you, please contact us to set up a consultation for you and your spouse in one of our many convenient Northern or Central New Jersey locations or via telephone where we will discuss distance mediation, the specifics of your case and help you understand the potential options and solutions that lie ahead for each of you.
