We at Equitable Mediation Services are always looking for unique ways to offer divorce mediation services to our clients and while the idea of telephone mediation has been around for a while, it struck me that in addition to its traditional benefits, it’s the “greenest” form of mediation. Yes – telephone divorce mediation is Eco-friendly! Think about it: three people have to get in their cars, drive to a central meeting point and then return home. Instead, those same three people can stay wherever they are, pick up a phone and place a call to accomplish the exact same thing. Same results as a traditional face-to-face mediation all while saving time, money and the environment in the process.
Sound far-fetched? Not so fast. Last I heard there were more than 30,000 divorces annually in the State of NJ.
