Take Charge of Your Divorce: Use Mediation
As a NJ divorce mediator, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve uttered the phrase “this is your divorce and you are empowered to make any decisions you see fit and come to any agreement you both feel is fair and equitable” but it seems there are just some people who can’t get the message. No matter how I try there are some couples who feel that hiring attorneys and fighting for “their rights” (whatever that means) is the way to go and then $125,000 later (yes, you read that correctly – not an extra zero in there) they come back to me to try and “fix” things.
Do yourselves a favor and avoid this whole mess and just come to mediation, will you? Divorce mediation is a voluntary process so if you don’t like the result, you can alwasy go ahead and hire yourself an attorney in the future but hiring an attorney first and then coming to mediation is like putting the cart before the horse: it’s just not the right way to go.
Call me at (908) 864-2177 and let’s talk. I’ve helped countless divorcing New Jersey couples avoid the expensive, contentious and stressful experience of a protracted legal battle so why not let me help you?
